today i learned – thurs 7th mar 2019

as we all know, too much chocolate is bad for you πŸ™ˆ the advertising agency know that too … due to this, freddo are in trouble 😱

#tdil cadbury have had all their freddo adverts banned 😒

apparently, one of the offending adverts that started all of this debacle was a freddo poster … a freddo poster just 100m from a primary school πŸ™ˆ

cadbury say that it was put up there by accident and that they have a long standing commitment to not advertise to people under 16 πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ people complained about the poster appaz πŸ™ˆ

there were also complaints about two youtube adverts from the brand πŸ™ƒ the advertising standards agency then said the videos had to go 😒

the problem? well, you aren’t allowed to advertise anything with high levels of salt, sugar or fats to kids … well, more specifically, you can’t use the advert if 25% or more of the audience are under 16.

cadbury say that they never target anyone under 18 πŸ‘πŸ» the advertising standards agency, however, said that it’s impossible to stop unregistered youtube peeps under the age of 16 watching your vids 😒

to be honest, i’ve never actually seen a freddo advert πŸ™ˆ so i can’t comment on whether they should be banned πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ but yeah, what do you think of this?
