i always find the history of amazing products to be fascinating … nerf is no exception!

#tdil nerf was originally the product of childish behaviour and used to have the best slogan ever

so, it’s pretty safe to say that everyone loves a good nerf gun πŸ™ŒπŸ» … you get all the fun of shooting your friends but without the mess and/or pain of a real gun/a paintball gun πŸ”«

what you possibly didn’t know, however, is that wasn’t the first product that nerf released! they started out life with the ‘world’s first indoor ball’ πŸ€

that isn’t all that interesting, but the way that reyn guyer (the founder) came up with the idea is!

you see, nerf is the product of grown adults throwing foam-rubber rocks at each other in a meeting room πŸ˜‚ #adulting. after a period of throwing the little rocks, guyer thought – “hey, why don’t we just make a normal sized ball out of this super soft material … then people can throw balls indoors and not break their face!?”

handily, dude worked at a toy company … so they took the idea, developed it and then sold hella loads of them! πŸ™ŒπŸ»

possibly the best thing about the whole thing is that they marketed nerf ball with the slogan “you can’t hurt babies or old people” πŸ˜‚ … best.slogan.ever 😱
