happy new year everyone! 😁 i decided that, as it’s new years, we should have a throwback to my fave fact on 2018.
for some reason (that i can’t figure out) this is the one that came to my mind 😂 i guess it isn’t my fave … more the most memorable!
#tdil a dude recently tried to sell a 6-year old mcdonalds hamburger on ebay 🤢
yep, this is a true story … a canadian dude literally thought it was a good idea to save a mcdonalds burger and fries for six years before selling them off 🙈
dave alexander (the canadian gent in question) purchased the maccies meal as part of an experiment on 7th june 2012 … as a farmer, dave was curious whether the rumours that ‘maccies food never goes bad’ were true 🤔
as such, he purchased the meal and stuck it in a speaker cabinet in his office. the meal subsequently sat there for six entire years 😂 quite a hard one to explain to peeps, i imagine 😅
the result? the food didn’t really age 😳 (as you can see from the pictures) … which begs the rather scary question of – “what in god’s name is in a maccies meal?!” 🤓
the meal was listed on ebay canada due to dave downsizing house wise and deciding not to take his little experiment with him (fair play 🤷🏻♂️).
the meal was put on with a starting bid of $29.99 and had reached $150 by the next day! 😂 sadly, despite someone wanting to purchase it, the listing was taken down by ebay because it went against their food regulations 🙈
literally love this fact so much … people will buy absolutely anything off ebay 😅 have any soon to expire food in your fridge? don’t just throw it away 😏
peace 🤙🏻 #tdil
