today i learned – tues 25th sept 2018

depending on how you look at it … this one is actually pretty scary 😳 (and mind-blowing)

#tdil that there is a random bit of space that consists of absolute nothingness 😳

by that, i mean that there is a massive void that contains literally nothing … like, zero light or planets or stars or anything! πŸŒ” it’s called ‘boΓΆtes void’ and it was discovered in 1981 by robert kirshner and co πŸ€“.

(i’m deffo not qualified to talk about this … so this video might be better than my text πŸ™ˆ)

at nearly 330 million light years in diameter it’s one of the biggest voids in the universe and no one really knows how it happened πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ like, it’s thought that everything in the universe was distributed evenly after the big bang πŸ™ˆ

the main theory about where it came from is that it’s the result of lots of smaller voids joining together … like soap bubbles do πŸ‘πŸ» other theories, however, range from black holes and worm holes to aliens and super advanced ai beings πŸ‘½

regardless of where it came from, it’s pretty scary to think that there’s just a random bit of completely empty space out there 😳 no one knows where it came from or why it’s there and no one knows what could possibly be lurking in there! 😭

pretty short again today … but i’m totally not qualified to teach you this stuff πŸ˜‚ i just thought it was cool πŸ€“

byeeee πŸ˜… #tdil

hopefully you found this interesting πŸ€” want to read something i’m actually qualified to write about? just go ->here<-
