today i learned – thurs 6th sept 2018

today’s fact is super cool and may just make you want to visit belgium! 😏

#tdil the world’s deepest swimming pool is a place called nemo 33 and it’s in belgium 😎

exactly how deep is the deepest pool in the world? a whole 113ft … or 34.5 metres 😱 for reference, that makes it deeper than most public pools are long!! πŸ˜…

as you can imagine, such a large pit requires a lot of water to fill it! simulating the beautiful conditions of bora bora, the hole is filled with over 2,500,000 litres of highly filtered fresh water … that’s heated to a lovely 30 degrees 😍

for all extensive purposes, it sounds really nice … like, thanks to the temperature and fresh water, peeps can learn/enjoy scuba diving without a large wet suit or without swimming through mucky water 🀒

i really want to go to this place 😍 … and that’s pretty much the only reason that i’ve put this on the blog πŸ˜‚
