if you’ve read literally any posts on this blog, then you probably already know that i’m a bit obsessed with japan 🙈
well, today’s fact is just another reason why you should join me! 🔰
#tdil that japanese bus drivers once went on strike by still doing their job 🚌
sat wondering how that is even possible? i’ll tell you how: the bus drivers carried on ferrying people around but stopped taking a bus fare! #ingenious
is this not the greatest strike ever?! like, no one is inconvenienced when it comes to commuting to work and stuff, but the bus company still suffer the same profit losses (if not more because of the additional fuel used 😏).
the strike took place in the japanese city of okayama and was all because a rival bus company was challenging their job security by using overlapping routes and charging less $$ 🤦🏻♂️
the strike served to protect the companies image with passengers whilst also making a point 👍🏻 (and providing the bus company with some good ole free marketing 🤷🏻♂️)
but yeah, i just love this 😍 it’s just another reason why japan is a win 🙌🏻
