today i learned – sun 24th june 2018

thought that it was about time we had another food fact … y’all seem to love them and it has been a while! 🤷🏻‍♂️

#tdil that fruit and veg is slowly getting less healthy for you 😳

that’s right, all of those greens and all of that fruit that you’re told to eat constantly isn’t actually as good for you as it used to be 🙈

the extent to which it isn’t as healthy for you is actually quite shocking 🙈 … according to findings in the ‘hortscience’ journal, you’d need eight times as many oranges to get the same amount of vitamin a as your grandparents 😳

“but why the change?” i can hear you ask 🤔 well, it’s apparently all due to modern agricultural practices … they just aren’t as good as the old school methods at making super nutritious fruit and veg 🤦🏻‍♂️

that said, if you do want to be super healthy, then eating lots of organic fruit and veg is still really rather good for you 💪🏻 so you should probably just stick to eating that from now on!

this was a short one, but i found it rather interesting 🤷🏻‍♂️
