like me, you’ve probably heard this before … but plastic bags are really bad for the environment 😢 well, this one surprised me 😱
#tdil exactly how pointless plastic bags actually are 🤔
now, i’m not saying that plastic bags aren’t good at their job of carrying stuff! it’s how long they do this for that makes them rubbish! 🙄
apparently, the average time that a plastic bag is used is only 12 minutes!! … yet they take around 1000 years to degrade and stop being an issue for turtles and stuff 🐢
that actually really surprised me … like, 12 minutes use for each bag seems pretty nuts 🙈 you’d have thought it was longer than that!
if i’m honest, this post is super short and fairly pointless 😅 but it’s made me think more seriously about reusing plastic bags and stuff. surely it isn’t justifiable to have a new bag if you use it for that little time?!
