sadly, i currently have a very ill but very old cat at home π’
this got me thinking however, just how old is the oldest cat in the world? π±π€
#tdil that the oldest cat ever died at the ripe old age of 38 years and 3 days π±
ok, first of all, i need to say that credit for this fact actually goes to my mother-tron, as she was the one that actually googled it and found out π
but yeah, the oldest cat in the world – named ‘creme puff’ – lived from 3rd august 1967 to 6 august 2005 … that’s over 169 years old in cat years π³ (according to the calculator that i just used).
how darn mental is that?! little kitty must have seen a whole lot of things during that time (i say that … but i forgot it was 169 cat years, not actual years π)
for a bit of reference, the average lifespan for a domestic cat is a hearty 14 years … that kind of highlights just how long little creme puff was around π
apparently there are reports that a cat in scotland lived to be 40 but it was never confirmed by the guinness world records peeps π€·π»ββοΈ #awks
if i’m honest, there isn’t much else to say about this π personally i think my cat, bob, might still pull through and manage to smash this record … i guess we’ll just have to see π
laterz peeps β· #tdil

Abby is my second cat I have had that has lived until seventeen! The only thing both of them had in common they both were inside cats! Abby is slowing down but she has found her voice! She says I love you which she uses when she feels scared! She moves from one spot to another in my house waiting for us to meet her needs! I love cats and I have raised them with my children!
