for today’s fact, we’re heading the swimming pools of finland! ππ»ββοΈ
if you get nervous around a good ole speedo … this isn’t the post for you π
#tdil the reason why men have to wear tight swimwear in finland π
to start, let’s just clarify the rule that forms the basis of today’s fact – basically, in finland, men cannot wear baggy shorts when they go swimming … the only things allowed are speedos and tight shorts.
now, the rule doesn’t come around because the peeps of finland like everyone to pretend to be a professional swimmer π it actually all comes down to hygiene ππ»
when you look into their reasoning for banning baggy shorts, it makes a lot of sense. you see, baggy shorts can be worn anywhere whilst you’re on holiday … meaning that they pick up all sorts of dirt and germs, which are then transferred into the pool π·
there’s also the issue of all of the random gubbins that collects in the short pockets throughout the day π
whilst men are limited to just speedos and tight shorts, women are free to wear whatevs π€·π»ββοΈ … as they don’t tend to wear baggy shorts anyhew π
and there you have it ππ» the reason why you can’t wear baggy shorts in finland π yaaaaay!
time for bed π
