apple fanboys like myself will no doubt have just enjoyed the ultimate geek fest 🤓 courtesy of the apple dudes standing on stage and telling us how awesome they are 🙃.
now, whilst i can’t afford an iphone x 😭😭 i thought it only right to have an apple fact today, in honour of their awesome event and products!
#tdil that the first ‘proper’ phone call on the original iphone was a prank call! 📱
now, hardcore apple fans are probably already aware of this fact … i joined way after the original iphone (my conversion wasn’t easy) so i’d never heard this amusing little tit bit 😂
anyway, for those who haven’t heard it … it occurred on 9th january 2007 when steve jobs unveiled the first iphone at the moscone center in san francisco.
after all of the usual gubbins about how revolutionary iphone was going to be, steve grabbed the phone and dialled a local starbucks 🙌🏻. a lovely young lady named ying hang zhang (aka hannah) answered the phone and, after her usual polite starbucks intro, she took part in a rather mental prank call.
steve said the following:
“yes, i’d like to order 4,000 lattes to go please … no, just kidding. wrong number. goodbye!”
poor girl! lolol a website called ‘fast company’ interviewed hannah in 2013 and she said that, at the time, she had no idea it was steve jobs on the other end of the phone! she was just in shock at the order ☕️.
apparently, this little prank paved the way for loads of apple fan visits to her starbucks store and for loads of similar prank calls 🙈.
want to see the prank call for yourself? well, i got your back 😘 it’s in the below video at around five mins 👍🏻
how brilliantly wonderful 😬 anyway, i think that’ll do us for today! i hope that you enjoyed. if you’d like another wonderful apple fact, just go ->here<-
